International Students Completing the CSS Profile for Financial Aid at U.S. Colleges

For international students dreaming of studying in the United States, the CSS Profile can be a key step toward making that goal financially possible. Unlike the FAFSA, which is reserved for U.S. citizens and eligible noncitizens, the CSS Profile allows international applicants to be considered for institutional financial aid directly from participating colleges and universities. While the process can seem complex—especially when navigating income documentation and currency conversions—it’s an essential opportunity to access need-based funding.

This video from The College Board does a great job explaining everything international students need to know about completing the CSS Profile and maximizing their chances of receiving aid.
